Learn Your Favourite Songs
We focus on teaching students what they want to learn. For an acoustic guitarist this usually means chords shapes, how to change quickly, strumming, fingerpicking, bar chords, creative chord shapes, essential thumb picking skills (travis picking) and percussive finger style. Our acoustic guitar students can also learn how finger style songs are arranged for the guitar.
At UGA, you can learn your favourite pop, rock and acoustic songs by artists like Tommy Emmanuel, Ed Sheeran, Andy Mckee, Tobias Rauscher, John Mayer, Vance Joy and The Beatles.
